Hanwell Town 0 Marlow 0

The scoreline reflected exactly what this game was, an end of season game, in which both sides would have settled for a point before the kickoff.
We began brightly with Goldy Capela creating a shooting change for Mergim Qarri but the delayed his shot and the chance had gone.
Play swung from end to end with very little between the sides. The game took an unfortunate turn midway through the first half when Calum Duffy slipped when trying to play the ball down field and failed to get up and it was plain to see that a serious leg injury had occurred. This resulted in an immediate trip to hospital where ligament damage was diagnosed. Mason Welsh-Turner came on to take his place in our back line.
Marlow's Kameron English was proving to be a constant threat to our defence and after Charlie Mitchell had been booked after bringing him down in full flight, another run saw him send in a great cross which was headed over the bar by Kelvin Bossman.
As the interval approached we twice threatened the Marlow goal, firstly when Wayne Carter chested a pass from Peter Dean into the path of Imedd Kartita but he blasted the ball over the bar and then from a free kick by Joe Chandiram, Ollie Duffy headed the ball back across goal but there was nobody on hand to apply the finishing touch.
Immediately after the interval we were fortunate when Mason diverted a strong cross by English over our own crossbar whilst at the other end, Goldy volleyed over when well placed. We made our second substitution when Jarmal Joseph replaced Mergim but almost immediately he pulled a hamstring so was quickly replaced by Jesse Kewley-Graham making a welcome return to the side. We were now looking the more likely side to score and twice in quick succession, Goldy might have done better than to miss the target when well placed. Charlie then had a fierce shot blocked by a defender and then a great ball by Imedd Kartita put Goldy through on goal but as the Marlow keeper Simon Grant approached, Goldy slid the ball just wide of the far post. At the other end in the final minutes, Sam Bunting who had had a reasonably quiet evening ensured that we at least gained a point with a fine save to turn a goalbound shot by Harry Laflin over the bar.
Marlow made three substitutions but one of them, Jay Welch saw red in the final minute after an inappropriate remark to the match referee.
